Palm bamboo is resistant to shade and sun exposure. Even in a dark room, it can grow normally. From May to September, it can be moved to an outdoor place with sunshade. At noon in summer, 40% - 50% of the sun should be covered, otherwise its leaves will turn yellow and its tip will be burned.
Brown bamboo likes the soil with good drainage and slight acid, and is not resistant to barren and saline alkali. In potting, saprophytic soil, peat soil and perlite or weathered rock particles can be used as the soil to cultivate it.
The suitable temperature for the growth of brown bamboo is 10-30 ℃. When the temperature is higher than 34 ℃, its leaves often scorch and stagnate. Its winter temperature can not be lower than 5 ℃, and it can survive safely in general indoor.
It should be watered more in summer and autumn, and the leaves should be sprayed with water frequently to increase the air humidity. In winter, the amount of water should be reduced properly. In addition to keeping the basin soil moist, spray water on its leaves twice a day to keep the environment moist.
It should be fertilized in accordance with the principle of "frequent application and thin application", and fertilize it a little and many times. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be selected as fertilizer. In summer and autumn, that is to say, it should be fertilized once every 2-3 weeks. In winter and spring, we should control the fertilizer and water.
