Malan head is a plant of Malan in Compositae family. It is also called red stem vegetable, but some are green stem and some are called chicken and child vegetable. It is widely distributed in China, especially in the Yangtze River Basin. It grows in hillside, field, roadside and so on. It has strong adaptability to environment, likes warm and humid places, and has strong cold resistance.
