Buckwheat plants stem upright, about 30 to 90 cm tall, with branches in the upper part, green or red, with longitudinal edges, glabrous or protruding along the longitudinal edges from one side.
Buckwheat leaves are triangular or obovate triangle, grow about 2.5 to 7 cm, width about 2 to 5 cm, the top gradually becomes sharp, its base presents a heart-shaped, both sides along the vein have prominent, the long leaf at the bottom has a long handle, the upper leaves are shorter and nearly sessile.
The inflorescence is racemose or corymbose, usually axillary or terminal, the perianth has 5 deep cracks, the color is light pink or white, the perianth slice is oval, the anther is light pink.
