When peach trees are grafted, if bud grafting is used, it can be carried out in July to August. In this period of time, grafting is relatively easy to survive, time is not easy to graft failure.
1. When budding, the best rootstock is the annual seedling, and the scion should be the branch with higher quality. The scion should be strong enough with full flower buds.
2. Prepare a sharp knife, peel the upper and lower part of the eye by 1cm, and penetrate into the xylem. After that, on the opposite side of the bud bud, we need to cut it vertically, and then peel it off.
3. The scion should also be peeled the same size, and then put the buds and bracts peeled from the scion on the position of the rootstock, and use a clean plastic bag to tie them tightly.
After grafting, when the grafted part has healed, it is necessary to take off the plastic bag in time, which is beneficial to its later growth.
