Vermiculite water will expand, resulting in larger space, enhanced permeability, and water absorption, is very suitable for cutting.
1. Because the water retention of vermiculite is too good, if pure vermiculite is used for cutting, it is easy to cause black rot of succulent water, so vermiculite can not be used as cutting soil alone.
2. It is better to mix vermiculite with other plant materials, and lay a thin layer of vermiculite on the surface. After the fleshy root system grows, it will be directly inserted into the soil below through vermiculite, avoiding the possibility of water and black rot.
