This method can be carried out all year round, but the temperature of the environment should be controlled between 15 ℃ and 20 ℃. However, spring and summer festival are the most suitable, which can be combined with basin changing in spring.
The basin soil should be a loose, fertile and permeable sand culture soil.
First, remove the soil from the root, expose the rhizome, and divide the plant into several clusters (at least 2-3 leaves in each cluster). Apply sulfur powder or plant ash on the incision, and then put it into the basin after drying.
Sprinkle some fine sand on the root of the plant, which is conducive to survival, 2-3 plants per basin.
After branching, water the plants with enough water, put them in the shade for 2-3 days, adapt to the environment, and then maintain them normally.
The cutting method is simple, as long as the room temperature is 15 ~ 25 ℃, the cutting can be carried out.
The mature leaves (more than one year old) are cut into small segments (longer ones) of about 8 cm, which are vertically inserted into clean river sand (or perlite, vermiculite) after 1-2 days of shade and then inserted into 3-4 cm.
One month after cutting, adventitious roots will grow, and many new buds will grow at the base. After the leaves grow, they can be transplanted to the basin!
When cutting, pay attention not to reverse cutting, and keep a certain humidity after cutting. When the cutting soil is slightly dry, spray water with a fine eye watering pot, but it should not be too wet to avoid rot.
The most suitable season for cuttage is spring and summer. Although it can be carried out in other seasons, the rooting time is relatively long.
For the root rotting snake plant, you can cut off the rotting part of the root and continue cutting.
