Prunus mume can take root quickly by hydroponics cutting. Select a healthy and strong branch, cut it about 20cm, keep the bud eye and leaves on it, and cut the bottom into horseshoe shape. Put the cut branches into the diluted potassium permanganate solution for disinfection, soak them for 20 minutes, take them out, and then immerse both ends into the rooting water for rooting. One week later, the cuttings were put into the water, the water was changed once a day, and the roots could be germinated within three weeks.

2. Disinfection treatment

The most fear of rooting in water is to infect bacteria, so we must do a good job in disinfection. Dilute carbendazim or potassium permanganate with 1000 times water, then soak the branches in it. Soaking time should not be too long, usually 20 minutes.

4. Cuttage hydroponics

Select the appropriate size of the hydroponics container, the Prunus branch into it, and then pour into the water. The water should be less than the bottom of the branch, but not too full, a third of the distance from the bottle mouth. Put the container in the ventilation place, change the water once a day, take root and germinate in 1-3 weeks.
