There are three main propagation methods of rosemary: sowing, pressing and cutting. Let's learn these three methods separately.
The seedlings were raised in the greenhouse in early spring. There are two ways to raise seedlings, one is soil method, the other is hole plate method.
In order to raise seedlings by soil method, the seedbed should be arranged first. The seedbed can be arranged into a flat border or a small high border, and the bed soil can be raked and crushed. Pour enough bottom water and apply enough fermentation fertilizer. The seeds can be sown in a row or in a row. Try to sow the seeds sparsely, or mix the seeds with fine dry soil, sow them on the seedbed, and water them with small amount of water to make the soil fully contact with the seeds. The suitable temperature for seed germination is 15-20 ℃. It will germinate in about 2-3 weeks. When the seedlings grow to about 10 cm, they can be planted, which is conducive to improving the survival rate. The peat and vermiculite should be mixed evenly in the proportion of 3:1, and then they can be sown. Cover with a thin layer of vermiculite, and pour through the water once. Build a small arch shed and water it frequently. When rosemary comes out of the seedling, it is necessary to move the tray frequently, so as to prevent rosemary root from going underground along the hole under the tray. But if you put the tray on the shelf, it's unnecessary. Rosemary bud rate is very low, generally only 10% - 20%. In the first year of rosemary planting, the growth rate is very slow, even in autumn, the plant is not very large, so the formation of a large number of yield should be 2-3 years later.
It is necessary to select fresh and healthy stems that are not fully lignified for cutting propagation. Mostly from winter to early spring. Cut the branches about 10-15 cm from the top of rosemary, and then remove about one third of the leaves below the branches. Then, the branches are directly planted in a moist medium. The minimum night temperature of the cuttings is 13 ℃. The roots will be produced in about 3-4 weeks and can be planted in the open after 7 weeks.
The branches near the ground of rosemary plant are bent and covered with soil, and the top of rosemary plant is exposed to the air. When a new root grows, it can be cut from the mother body to form a new individual, which can be planted in the open air.
These are the three ways of rosemary reproduction. Let's go with Xiaobian!
