Collect mature pods from September to October, take out seeds, bury them in dry sand, and put them in a cool place for winter.
From late March to early April, the seeds are sown. Before sowing, the seeds are treated. The seeds are soaked in 60 ℃ warm water. After cooling, the seeds are soaked for 3 to 5 days. The cold water is replaced once a day. After swelling, the seeds are put in 15 ℃ environment to speed up germination. The seeds are drenched with warm water 1-2 times a day.
When the seeds are white, they can be seeded in the seedbed. The seedlings can be collected in 2 weeks, and the seedlings can be properly inter seeded after emergence.
When the seedlings grow 4 true leaves, they can be transplanted. The best soil for transplanting is loose and fertile loam.
The roots of Bauhinia are easy to produce root tillers. Before germination in October in autumn or spring, cut off the tiller seedlings and mother plants with a knife, and plant them in the prepared substrate, which is easy to survive.
In autumn, the plants should be planted to survive the winter. In spring, they can be planted in March. Generally, they will bloom in the second year.
Cuttage Propagation is generally carried out in summer when Bauhinia grows vigorously. The young shoots of that year are cut off as cuttings, which can survive in the sand. It is generally suitable for family propagation.
Strip propagation can be carried out in the growth period of Bauhinia, but it is best in March and April in spring.
Select the 1-2-year-old branches, cut and peel the bark with a knife about 1.5cm, expose the xylem, apply the rooting powder solution about 3cm above the cut part, cover the cut part with a plastic bag after drying, fill up the loose garden soil, and tie the two ends after watering.
One month later, if the soil is too dry, it can be watered properly and cut for planting after rooting.
Shrub type trees can choose the softer branches on the periphery, cut the base, smear the rooting powder, bury it in the soil, fix it with bricks, and support the top with sticks.
Generally, in March of the second year, separate and plant separately. If some branches do not take root in the same year, they can continue to be buried and pressed, and take root in the second year.
