First, clean the pond or flowerpot, and then lay a layer of mud on its bottom. If not, it can be replaced by mountain mud or other soil, but it is necessary to remove large impurities, stones, tiles, etc. before planting. Especially there are some relatively large organic matters in it, because it is easy to float to the water surface after pouring water, so it must be removed. After that, a small amount of water will be added to dilute the matrix into a muddy state.

Take the water lily from the flowerpot, then choose some more robust rhizomes on it, cut it into about 8-10cm length, and ensure that it has 2-3 buds.
Put the treated rhizome buds upward, bury them in the soil, and expose the buds to the surface. Then add some water to let the water pass through the buds of the rhizome. Be careful not to add too much water, or it will not survive.

After about a week, the soil can form into a mass, and there will be some flocculent material floating on the water. In a while, it will grow young leaves. At this time, it needs to add water according to its growth condition to keep its young leaves floating on the water. When it produces many young leaves, and the root system is stable, it can be maintained normally.
