Rhododendron needs to keep the environment constant in the flowering period. If the environment changes dramatically, it will affect the flowering period of Rhododendron and shorten it significantly.
In the process of maintenance, Rhododendron should be placed in the place with bright light, which should be scattered light to avoid direct sunlight. If the light is too strong, the rhododendron flowers will be scorched. If there is not enough light, the color of Rhododendron will be dim. Both of these will shorten its flowering period.
During the flowering period of Rhododendron, it is necessary to keep the temperature within 15-20 ℃, the maximum temperature shall not exceed 25 ℃, and the minimum temperature shall not be lower than 10 ℃, otherwise it will affect its flowering.
During the flowering period to maintain adequate and stable water supply, avoid too dry or too wet.
Fertilization is not recommended during flowering, if fertilization is not appropriate, it will cause the phenomenon of falling flowers.
When spraying, be careful not to spray on petals. If droplets sprayed directly onto petals, the florescence of Rhododendron will be shortened significantly. In addition, when azalea begins to wilt, wither, change color and fall off, it is necessary to prune the residual flowers and their pedicels in time to avoid the consumption of nutrients by stones. Flowering fewer pests, mainly need to pay attention to the prevention of slugs.
