Spring is the peak season for the growth of Tradescantia, to ensure adequate water and fertilizer. Watering should be more frequent, and the watering time should be arranged in the morning when the temperature is low. The fertilizer should be applied thinly and frequently. Try to apply sufficient base fertilizer to Tradescantia before transplanting, and thin liquid fertilizer once every half a month.
In the spring from March to April, Tradescantia can be cutted.
Don't expose to strong sunlight. In summer, you need to keep it in half shade or give it 70% shade. Take care of the ventilation and spray the plants 2 to 3 times a day, so that they can cool down.
In summer, you can use more water, but you'd better do it in the morning or in the evening when the temperature is low.
Autumn is also a period of vigorous growth of Tradescantia. In autumn, you can hang the lavender basin in the balcony air or under the eaves which is not exposed to the sun at noon, and water it appropriately to keep the basin soil moist.
The best way to propagate is in autumn, especially by cutting.
The optimum growth temperature of Tradescantia is between 18 ℃ and 30 ℃, so it is forbidden to be cold and frosty. Therefore, the temperature in winter should not be too low, and the overwintering temperature should be kept above 10 ℃. You can move the lavender to a bright place indoors and keep the room temperature around 10 ℃. If it is outdoor, it can be wrapped with film for winter, but the film should be often opened to let the plant breathe.
In winter, we should do well in fertilizer control and water control. Watering is generally carried out on a sunny day at noon when the temperature is high, and fertilization should be stopped.
