When the arrow is out, it needs to ensure sufficient nutrition. After the new arrow grows up, the tip can be pinched off. Flowering is generally laborious, new branches do not bloom, pruning time do not prune old branches, but more than five years of branches can be pruned, the old leaves can also be pruned.
When pruning Lingjian lotus, first of all, we need to design a suitable height and density according to the size of the flowerpot, generally keeping the plant height at 30-40cm. When the plant of Lingjian lotus grows to 30cm, you can cut off the growth point on the plant first, and gently cut it at the tender tip of the stem with a knife, so as to prevent the plant from continuing to grow, and do the same treatment for each stem piece in the flowerpot, then the whole plant will appear the same height.
Secondly, in the growth of Lingjian lotus, because the stem has stopped growing high and does not grow lateral buds, it will grow strong and full. If there are lateral buds growing, it needs to be cut off in time, only the lateral buds growing from the soil will be kept. If the branches are too dense, it can be pruned in the way of leaving strong and weakening. To get rid of too many branches and buds, keep them in 3 to 4 main stem pieces, and timely remove too many new buds on the main stem pieces of arrow lotus, so as not to affect flowering.
Finally, we need to prune the old branches, because the branches of Lingjian lotus that have already blossomed are aged and lignified, and they will not bloom again. It is better to cut off the old branches that have already blossomed
