Therefore, its seeds are spread by the wind. The survival time of the seeds of pitcher plant is very short. When the seeds are obtained, they will be sown as soon as possible.
The top of the stem of pitcher plant will draw out the flower axis, on which there will be many small flower stalks, and there will be one or more small flowers on these small flower stalks. After pollination, the capsule will grow. Its seeds are fusiform to filiform, very small, with a very slight bulge in the middle part. The position of the embryo is the growing part of the seed. When the seed pods split, the seeds of pitcher plant will spill out.
Under normal circumstances, its seeds are not suitable for preservation. They should be sown after harvesting. Some flower friends will put their seeds in the refrigerator for cold storage. In fact, the low temperature is not suitable for seed preservation, and may make the seeds lose their growth ability faster.
