This is the first step, which is directly related to the success rate of subsequent sowing, so we must be careful. We'd better choose those seeds that were collected in those years, which are full and free of deformities or pests.
There are two that we need to disinfect. The first one is the seeds. We can soak them in water at about 60 ℃ and wait for about 15 minutes. The second is the disinfection of the substrate, which can be directly heated in a pot, and the pests in it can be scalded to death. These two kinds of disinfection are easy to carry out.
Prepare warm water, and soak the seeds treated in the previous step for half a day to a day, until we observe that the seeds have absorbed enough water and swell. This work is not necessary, for those seeds that are easy to germinate, you can also not go through this step
Next is the official sowing. If it is not easy to pick up the seeds, you can also use toothpicks and other small tools. After sowing, cover it with a layer of substrate, about one centimeter. Then, put the container into the water so that the depth of the water is about half of its height, and let the water slowly come up.
If it is planted in the late autumn or early spring when it is cold, the container can be wrapped with plastic film to keep the temperature. However, after seed germination, remove the membrane in time to facilitate the plant to receive sunlight.
After the emergence of plants, there may be some unhealthy seedlings. We should pull them out in time.
