The shoots with good growth should be used for hydroponics rooting, instead of the thin ones with eggs. There should be three nodes on them. Leave 1-2 leaves on the top, cut off the rest of the bottom leaves, cut the lower incision into horseshoe shape, and soak in potassium permanganate for disinfection. Prepare the container and water, insert the branches, and change the water once a day or two.

I. select branches

When gardenias take root in hydroponics, they should choose the branches with good growth. The branches should not be too thin, and there should be no germs and eggs on them. Only the cuttings used are healthy enough, can they take root faster and easier after hydroponics cuttings

2. Trimming treatment

It's better to have 3 nodes on the top of the branch. Use scissors to cut off the leaves at the base and keep 1-2 leaves at the top. If too many leaves are retained, water evaporation will increase. The lower cut of the branch is cut into horseshoe shape. If the middle branch is used, the upper end of the cuttings shall be cut flat. If possible, it's best to use potassium permanganate to eliminate the poison.

Prepare the container

Prepare a clean container for hydroponics. The inside of the container should be cleaned and there should be no dirt inside. Pour clean water into a bottle or flowerpot, preferably in a bottle or with a foam board.

IV. hydroponics cutting

Insert the pruned branch into the container. Before it takes root, it needs to change the water every 1-2 days. It will take about 10-15 days to take root. When the root system of the branch grows about 7cm, it can be transplanted
