When pruning, there are three common methods: light pruning, medium pruning and heavy pruning. Light pruning is to give those healthy branches short cut, and then remove the expanding buds. Then there is the medium pruning, which is to cut or cut half of the first year's robust branches according to its base. The final heavy pruning is to leave only three to four first-year branches on its whole plant, and choose to cut it short when it is 20cm from the ground. In pruning, it doesn't mean that every perfume rose can be pruned, or depends on its plant condition. If it is a newly transplanted plant, if it has been pruned before planting, it will not need to be pruned in the first year after planting. After one year, you can cut off some branches that grow slightly and weakly and cross together against its root, and then at least cut off its general length in the remaining strong branches. If the rose is planted for more than 3 years, it needs to be pruned every year, so that its plant shape can be better maintained.
To cut the perfume rose is not to say that one tool is all right. We can prepare a better pair of scissors. This scissors must ensure that its cutting edges are smooth. At ordinary times, we should also pay attention to lubricating oil for maintenance. To keep it sharp, we can use pruning saws for branches that are relatively thick or high in position. We'd better not use machetes, because it will hurt the bark.
