The proper cutting is to leave enough space for the growth of buds, but not too far away, at the same time, the section should not be too inclined.
One flowering, you can trim three branches. In spring, a hard cutting shall be carried out from March to April to ensure the same length of branches, leaving the thicker branches to be cut short. In 20 days or so, when the first branch is long and high, a second pruning shall be carried out, probably from the late June to July. The third pruning shall be carried out in August, at the latest not more than the middle of August.
1. Short cutting: cut off one section of the annual branches. If half or 1 /3 of the annual branches are heavy short cutting, this method can stimulate budding and promote faster growth of new branches.
2. Thinning: cutting off the branches for more than one year is conducive to the growth of buds under the cutting mouth, and can increase the internal light
3. Cutting: cutting the branches that have been growing for many years can make the old trees strong again.
The vertical downward branches and Cross branches can be removed; the parallel branches can remove the weaker branches; after the flowering period, the over dense branches, the extra long branches and the weak branches can be thinned.
