Sown time of pineapple: suitable for sowing in early spring from March to April, in the south, it can be sown earlier, in the north, it can be sown later.
The method of sowing: the pineapple can be broadcasted in the open or sowed in a shallow basin. The seedlings grow out and are pulled by a string to make a variety of bonsai. 5-7 seeds are sown in the basin, covering about 0.5cm of soil, keeping the soil in the basin moist, growing seedlings in about 10 days, after half a month, the seedlings will be weak and strong, and 3-4 Pineapple Seedlings will be preserved. The height of seedlings is 8-10 cm, which promotes multiple branches and flowering.
The pineapple blooms in July, and then withers when the weather turns cold. In October, the seeds are harvested. When the pods are dry and brown, the seeds can be harvested. There are 3-4 seeds in each pod, which are black. The seeds of different colors were collected and sown in April of the next spring. The collected seeds can be stored for 3-4 years.
The pineapple is directly sown near the fence, 30cm each. Choose the place with leeward and sunny, loose soil. When the base fertilizer is not enough, apply liquid fertilizer 1-2 times before flowering, and water once in 7-10 days.
Put a little base fertilizer on the bottom of the basin when putting the pineapple in the basin. Apply liquid fertilizer once a month. Do not accumulate water in the basin in rainy season to avoid rotten roots.
