Its appearance looks small and exquisite. It's very suitable for potting on the tea table and balcony in the room. It's very ornamental. So there are a lot of people who want them to breed more, so that every place in the house can put a basin. When it comes to reproduction, the most commonly used method for it is sowing and reproduction. How to do that? Let's have a look.

1. Collection of seeds

In fact, it is very difficult to get seeds under normal conditions, generally through artificial technology. It takes three to four months from flowering to seed maturity. Usually its seeds are relatively small, so there can be many seeds in a fruit, and then we can take out these seeds by artificial pollination. When planting, we all adopt the method of collecting and sowing now, because once its seeds are separated from the mother plant, they will lose their vitality quickly. So after the seeds are collected, they should be planted immediately.

2. Preparation of sowing matrix

It is very important to choose suitable substrate before seed. Generally speaking, the substrate for sowing is the best mixture of river sand, perlite and peat soil. After the substrate is mixed, give them a high-temperature anti-virus treatment to prevent diseases and pests from remaining in it, and then they can be planted.

3. Sowing

We plant the collected seeds in the sterilized matrix, and then press the matrix with our hands. After that, we don't need to cover them with soil. We just need to cover them with a piece of glass or film to moisturize them. After all these are done, we need to control the temperature between 24 and 26 degrees in order to make it germinate faster. The seeds will germinate in about a week to half a month.

4. Maintenance after sowing

After seed germination, late maintenance is not necessary. First of all, we need to take off the film or glass so that it can be better ventilated. Then when it grows into a seedling and has 3 to 4 leaves, we can transplant them, usually in a 4 to 5 cm large flowerpot, so as to ensure that it has enough space to grow. Then we can culture these seedlings for 3 to 4 years, their central leaves will start to change color and blossom, then we can enjoy them.
