At the beginning of summer, the seed ball enters the dormancy period. After the part of the ground withers, the seed ball is dug out. Soak in chlorothalonil 2000 times solution for 30 minutes, dry in a cool place after disinfection, and then store at 10 ℃.
In summer, when the temperature is high, vanilla will enter the dormancy period. In order to bloom early, the seed ball should be placed in a high temperature environment to break its dormancy period. Smoke that can be released or assisted with ethylene.
When sowing in spring, use the wet sawdust as the medium, mix a small amount of soil, bury the seed ball deep in it, often spray water to keep the sawdust moist. In the process of vernalization, it can promote its rooting and germination, and bloom in the second year, without too much treatment, and bloom naturally earlier.
Temperature control is the most direct, but also the most detailed method. The cold storage of seed ball is also the process of flower bud differentiation. Therefore, the time and temperature of refrigeration should be strictly controlled.
If flowering is required in November, it needs to be refrigerated at 10 ℃ for 40-50 days and planted in the middle and late September; if flowering is required in December, it needs to be refrigerated for 30-40 days; if flowering is required on New Year's day, it only needs to be refrigerated for 30 days and planted in early November. After planting, the temperature should be controlled at 15 ℃ to bloom. In fact, you can see that the shorter the storage days, the later the flowering time, but the cold storage range is 30-50 days. Beyond this range, the growth of plants will be inhibited, with less or no flowering.
