After digging out the seed ball of Oxalis, do not immediately close it for preservation. Put it in a cool and ventilated place for a period of time, and let it rest for a period of time.
The storage of Oxalis seed ball does not need to be refrigerated. Low temperature will break its natural dormancy period and make the seed ball wake up in advance, which goes against the natural law.
There are mainly four storage methods, with advantages and disadvantages. Flower friends can weigh and choose the best one by themselves:
Place the seeds directly in a sealed bag.
Advantages: transparent material, easy to observe the situation in the bag, when there are many kinds of balls in the home, it can be labeled, easy to identify.
Disadvantages: air tight inside the bag. But there are solutions. You can cut the two corners of the lower end for ventilation, or you can use a needle to pierce holes in the bag directly to help the root breathe.
Put the seed ball in the sandbag with the top stretched out.
Advantages: beautiful and breathable.
Disadvantages: the gap at the closing is too large, and the ball root is easy to run out; the yarn bag needs to be opened during observation; the bud head of the seed ball is too long and easy to drill into the mesh, and easy to break when it is taken out.
Put the seed ball in the bottle, preferably a glass bottle.
Advantages: easy to observe and recognize.
Disadvantages: the air permeability is general, so it is necessary to open the bottle mouth frequently to let the seed ball breathe; the bottle caliber is small, and the larger ball root cannot be stored.
Put it in the paper box made by hand.
Advantages: pleasing to the eye, good air permeability, convenient observation.
Disadvantages: time consuming, of course, you need to be dexterous and like DIY, otherwise it's hard to do without tools.
