When arranging flowers, using detergent skillfully can play an unexpected effect on the fresh-keeping of flower arrangement.
Detergent consists of surfactant, trace salt, essence and 80% water. It has the function of decontamination and sterilization. It can activate the water quality, eliminate the bacteria in the water, dissolve the pectin from the cut of flowers and trees, make the flowers fully absorb water, form a thin film on the surface of the leaves, keep the leaves moist, prevent the stomata of the leaves from all opening, reduce their respiration and transpiration, so as to enhance the drought resistance of flower arrangement and extend the fresh-keeping period.
When arranging flowers, the use of detergent can prolong the time of keeping fresh. The specific method is: the second cutting of flower branches in about 4% detergent solution and 20-30 ℃ warm water, and then quickly inserting into the same concentration of solution. It is better to put the flower branches into water by about 4cm, and the solution can be changed once every 2-3 days, which can prolong the life of flower arrangement by three times.
