Insert the chopsticks into the soil and take them out after a few minutes. If the chopsticks are not wet and the soil is not brought out, it means that they are short of water and should be watered in time. You can also twist the soil for cultivation. If it turns into powder after twisting, it means that it is in a state of water shortage. If it turns to be granular after twisting, it means that the soil is still very wet, so you can not water it first
Check the dry and wet conditions of the basin soil surface. If the surface soil has become dry, turn over the deeper soil by hand. If the surface is only dry, it means there is no water shortage. If the deep soil layer is also starting to dry, it means that there is a lack of water at present, and water needs to be replenished as soon as possible. If you knock the flowerpot with a stick or hand, the sound is stuffy, it will prove that there is water. If the sound is very crisp, it means that the water in the basin has evaporated and water supply needs to be done as soon as possible.
If the leaves of the pothos are not firm and wilt, it is water shortage; if the leaves are in good growth state and are green and straight, it means that the soil in the flower pot is watery, so you don't need to water first. You can also weigh the flowerpot. If it's very light, you should supply water.
