In principle, all seasons can be grafted, mainly in spring.

First, collect well-developed and vigorous perennial branches from excellent mother plants of Ginkgo biloba, cut off a leaf on the scion, leave only the petiole, cut into scions with 2-3 buds in each section, then wrap the lower end of the scion with wet cloth or immerse it in water directly. For the selection of grafting stock, it is suitable to select from 2-3 years old seedlings or cuttings. For early fruit close planting, the junction should be about 1 meter. The main method is split or cut. The cutting surface of the scion is inserted into the cutting of the rootstock, so that the two are consistent and the formation layer is aligned. Finally, the grafting is completed by binding the interface with plastic film tape. After grafting, it usually takes 5 - 8 years to start bearing fruit.

Strengthen the management of the interface, untie the bandage when it is completely healed, and remove the sprouts about 30cm below the interface in time. Make sure to apply thin fertilizer frequently, water in time, keep the soil moist, and do a good job in pest control. When the new tip of scion grows to 25cm, insert a bar to protect it from wind shaking.
