The best way to graft Christmas Cactus is from May to June, and from September to October. Usually, we choose the Yellow prickly cactus as the rootstock. When grafting, the top of the rootstock is cut crosswise, and a small opening is cut in the cambium, then the scion is inserted and fixed with a clamp. Do not water later, maintain in a well ventilated place, if the scion does not wilt in ten days or so, it means the grafting is successful.

At the top of the cactus, cut it crosswise with a sterilized knife. Pay attention to that the knife must be disinfected to avoid infection. Make a small opening with a blade at the place of the cambium. The size of the small opening should be similar to that of the scion of Christmas Cactus. Then cut the bottom of the scion to reveal the white part. After cutting, insert into the small opening of the formation layer and fix it with a clamp.
