The soil for potting should be loose and fertile sandy loam, and the basin should be changed before it is moved out of the room in April every spring. In the fertilization method of Fusang flower, three things should be done when changing the basin: first, replace with new culture soil; second, cut off part of the densely curled fibrous roots; third, apply sufficient base fertilizer, and slightly add phosphorus fertilizer to the bottom of the basin. &In order to keep the tree shape beautiful and spend a lot of flowers, according to the characteristics of strong sprouting ability of Fusang's hairy branches, they can be pruned and reshaped before and after leaving the house in early spring. Except for the 2-3 buds left at the base of each branch, the upper part of each branch can be pruned completely. Pruning can promote the development of new branches, the growth will be more vigorous, and the plant shape is also beautiful. After pruning, water and fertilizer should be properly controlled due to the reduction of consumption of parts on the ground.

When Fusang is a positive tree species, it should be moved outside in early May and put in a sunny place. At this time, it is also the growing season of Fusang. Management work such as fertilizer, water, soil loosening and grass pulling should be strengthened. Thin liquid fertilizer should be applied every 7-10 days. Watering should be based on the situation of the basin soil's dry and wet conditions. Over dry or over wet will affect flowering. After autumn management should be careful, pay attention to the late fertilization less, so as to avoid the autumn shoot. The autumn shoots are tender and weak in cold resistance. They will suffer frost damage in cold days.
Fusang is not frost resistant. It must be moved into the room to keep warm from the frost to the beginning of winter. The winter temperature shall not be lower than 5 ℃ to avoid frost damage; it shall not be higher than 15 ℃ to avoid affecting dormancy. Dormancy is not good the next year growth and flowering is not prosperous. All furniture houses with good heat preservation conditions facing south can survive the winter. When the weather is cold, they can be covered with paper or plastic film to keep warm. Windows shall be opened for ventilation in the first moving room every day, and the change of basin soil moisture and dryness shall be noticed, and proper watering shall be carried out. In the coldest days, watering can prevent frost damage, but fertilization should be stopped.
