This kind of plant likes loose soil with good drainage and irrigation ability, so it will grow very well in limestone karst mountain area. If we want to cultivate seedlings, we can prepare a seedbed, the substrate is made of fine-grained saprophytic soil and large-sized river sand, which are mixed according to the proportion of half of each.
In spring, when it is full of life, that is, March to April, we can carry out cutting.
It is worth noting that in order to make the branches survive and take root quickly, the cutting can only be started when the ambient temperature is higher than 15 ℃.
Select some healthy and strong trees that have been growing for 1 to 2 years and have wood branches, cut the branches into 15 to 20 cm long, and then gently scrape off all the leaves on the branches with a knife. The incision under it should be 0.5cm away from the node.
Insert the branches into the prepared seedbed, and the depth of the inserted soil shall be one third or one-half of the length of the branches. Pull the surrounding soil around the branches, and then press a layer of mud.
When the wound of the branch heals and takes root, spray water on the soil to keep the soil moist.
When its roots grow out completely, it can be transplanted to potted plants with soil, preferably two or three together.
