It's better to choose the cutting of Hibiscus in spring and autumn. Comparatively speaking, the survival rate of cutting in spring is higher than that in autumn. If the temperature of cutting environment is suitable, it can be carried out from January to August.
Before propagation, we should prepare the substrate suitable for rooting of branches, to meet the requirements of ventilation and drainage, we suggest that we use river sand, vermiculite, etc., to avoid using the soil with poor viscosity and permeability.
It's better to use one to two years old branches. New branches are easy to rot after cutting. It's not recommended. The best length is 10 cm. Except for the 2-3 leaves at the top of the cuttings, the remaining leaves on the branches shall be cut off. Conditional also can use much bacterium spirit to branch disinfection, put in the sun to dry use.
When cutting, you need to first use chopsticks to insert a hole in the substrate, and insert the branch into it, not more than 1 /2 of the depth. Use the surrounding matrix to fix the branches and place them in a cool place with astigmatism to ensure that the maintenance environment is well ventilated and moist.
