Before selecting branches, the cutting medium should be prepared to prevent the branches from losing too much water. The cutting medium, that is, the culture soil of dianzhumei, can be made of river sand, peat soil, etc., or a variety of nutrient soil. Before using, it is better to disinfect the soil to remove the bacteria or eggs that may be mixed in the soil.
Cut the cuttings on the strong parent branch. The length of the cuttings should be between five and eight centimeters, and there should be three or five young leaves on each cuttings to improve the survival rate of the cuttings.
At the time of potting, there should be a filter layer and fertilizer under the flowerpot. The general order is to pave a layer of clay or coarse sand at the bottom of the flowerpot as the filter layer, and then pave a layer of culture soil containing fertilizer. Finally, fill the flowerpot to three quarters full with the prepared cutting medium and insert the cuttings into it.
After potable, keep the appropriate temperature (18 to 25 degrees Celsius), humidity (air humidity should be at least 75%, if the air is dry, spray can increase air humidity) and sufficient light to ensure the normal rooting of cuttings.
