Clivia seed can be accelerated by stratification, soaking and adding sawdust. Stratification is to mix the sand with the seed to reduce the abscisic acid of the seed before germination; soaking is to treat the seed with sodium phosphate for 20 minutes, wash it and soak it in 40 ℃ water for 24 hours before cultivation; adding sawdust in the process of germination can improve the oxygen concentration, which is conducive to germination.

1. Stratification

Clivia is a plant of Lycoris family. They all have a certain dormancy period. The seed contains abscisic acid which can inhibit germination. The abscisic acid of seed can be reduced slowly by stratification. Prepare a lot of sand, mix the seeds with the sand, and then pour some water to keep the soil moist. When waiting for spring, take out the seed and sow it, then it will germinate.

2. Soak

Before soaking, soak the seeds with sodium phosphate. After 20 minutes, wash the seeds and prepare for soaking. In this way, it can promote the speed of seed cell division and differentiation, and make it germinate rapidly. Before germination, it can be dried and soaked in 40 ℃ warm water for 24 hours. Wait for the seeds to absorb enough water, shrink and shine, and then cultivate in the soil.

3. Add sawdust

In the process of germination, the seeds need enough oxygen to complete the growth, so in the process of germination, you can put some sawdust at the bottom of the basin, which is helpful for the seeds to breathe, in order to prevent the growth from being too slow.
