The best cutting time is from April to August. At this time, the temperature and humidity are very stable, and the rooting speed of branches will be faster after cutting. It can be done in a greenhouse at any time of the year. Cutting in the open air should be avoided in summer or winter, too cold or too hot to its root.
1. Substrate: before cutting, prepare a loose substrate with good permeability. Vermiculite can be used. Before using, we must disinfect, not use the soil with bacteria, only in this way can it take root easily.
2. Cuttings: cut a semi lignified cuttings on the mother plant, the length can be maintained at about 10-15cm, and the branches should be strong enough and free of disease. In addition, it is better to have 2 bud points on the cuttings to increase the survival rate.
3. Treatment: use a blade to cut the bottom of the insert into an inclined plane with an angle of 45 °. Only 2-3 pieces at the top of the blade can be reserved. After pruning, soak in rooting water for a while, take it out for standby.
4. Cutting: before cutting branches, spray wet the substrate with a watering can, then insert the cuttings into half of the soil, keep the substrate slightly wet, and take root in 15-20 days.
