A single tree can blossom and bear fruit. It has several male flowers, generally growing to the outside of the involucre, only one female flower, and the ovary stalk extends to the edge of the involucre. Its fruit is a capsule with a triangular shape and less than 1 cm in length. Its surface is relatively smooth and hairless, and there are globular seeds in it. Its flowering and fruiting period is from July to October.
