The 1-2-year-old healthy branches should not be too old or too tender. Cut it into small sections, each section should have 2-3 bud points and several leaves. After that, plaster the two ends of the branch with grass ash, or soak it in carbendazim solution. After taking out, spread rooting powder on the bottom, so as to speed up rooting of cuttings.
The growth conditions of Dendrobium are very harsh, but in order to ensure the survival of cuttings, loose and permeable soil must be used. Choose coconut bran soil or sawdust as the substrate, or use water moss, vermiculite and other cuttings, also have a good survival rate.
The treated cuttings were inserted into the substrate. Different from many cuttings, Dendrobium should be cut obliquely with an angle of less than 30 degrees. In addition, it can't be inserted too deep, as long as it doesn't fall down. After inserting, make sure that the bud point is upward, so that it is easier to root and sprout.
After cutting Dendrobium, water it once and put it in a cool and ventilated place. The environment should have high humidity. In dry areas, you can use plastic bags to cover the area after spraying water. Open ventilation regularly every day to avoid all kinds of diseases caused by poor ventilation.
