The cuttings of Dendrobium should be selected first. Find a 1-2-year-old healthy branch, cut it into several sections, each section should have several bud points and leaves. Apply the plant ash or carbendazim to sterilize, and apply the rooting water on the bottom. Then cut it into coconut soil or sawdust, but not too deep. The cuttings and the substrate should be kept at a certain angle to ensure that the bud point is upward, which is more conducive to its rooting and germination. Insert the post pouring water and put it in a cool and ventilated place for curing.

I. cuttings

The 1-2-year-old healthy branches should not be too old or too tender. Cut it into small sections, each section should have 2-3 bud points and several leaves. After that, plaster the two ends of the branch with grass ash, or soak it in carbendazim solution. After taking out, spread rooting powder on the bottom, so as to speed up rooting of cuttings.

II. Pot soil preparation

The growth conditions of Dendrobium are very harsh, but in order to ensure the survival of cuttings, loose and permeable soil must be used. Choose coconut bran soil or sawdust as the substrate, or use water moss, vermiculite and other cuttings, also have a good survival rate.

3. Cutting

The treated cuttings were inserted into the substrate. Different from many cuttings, Dendrobium should be cut obliquely with an angle of less than 30 degrees. In addition, it can't be inserted too deep, as long as it doesn't fall down. After inserting, make sure that the bud point is upward, so that it is easier to root and sprout.
