It's better to finish it in spring before May. With the increase of temperature, the failure rate of cutting will increase. Even if it is lucky to take root, the fragile seedlings can hardly survive the hot summer. So the earlier the reproduction, the better.
There are many kinds of cuttings, there is not a dead rule, depending on personal preferences. River sand, vermiculite, all kinds of powder mixture of plant materials, cinder, seedling block and so on can be used as plant cutting. The requirement is that the particles are fine, the temperature changes little, the water is locked, the air permeability is good, and it is not conducive to bacterial reproduction.
Generally, the container of cuttage adopts "three piece set of seedling box", the middle "hole plate" is removed, and "box bottom" and "box cover" are used, so the space utilization rate is relatively large, and the position of cuttage can be selected at will.
Cut the plump leaves as cutting materials in advance, disinfect the cut of the leaves, and leave in the shade for a week before cutting.
Fill the container with the prepared soil and spray a thin layer of fungicides such as carbendazim on the surface.
Insert the prepared blade into the soil, without watering, and directly cover it. Basically, open the lid of the box once a day or two for ventilation, and the ventilation time is only 35 minutes. If there is no mist on the box cover, spray a small amount of water to increase the humidity. If there is a tendency of mildew and corruption in the box, spray the fungicide again, or take out and wash the plants and put them in again.
About a week or so, the plant takes root and can be potted. After rooting, it should be transplanted to the plant material with sufficient nutrients for normal maintenance. In order to develop seedlings well, sufficient nutrients and water are needed, and a relatively wet soil environment is needed, or the new roots will die.
