The cutting of Chinese rose is generally carried out in spring and autumn. If cutting with tender buds, April may or September October is suitable. If you use branches to cut, it's better in early spring and late autumn

1. Select branch: a good branch is the first step of cutting success. Generally, hardwood with length of 10-15 cm and at least 3-4 buds should be selected. Remove the leaves at the base of the hardwood and cut the lower part of the cut into a slope to increase the contact area with the soil, which is helpful for rooting.

2. Pot soil preparation: rose is not suitable for growth in alkaline environment, so acid soil containing humus should be selected. The river sand can be added properly to increase its drainage. Cutting soil generally does not add base fertilizer, which is bad for plant rooting.
