The best time to cut geranium is may or October. Select healthy cuttings, and make sure there are 3 left and right leaf nodes on the top, and then place them in the shade for 2 hours before cutting. Then select the matrix, fine yellow sand is the best. Finally, just insert the treated cuttings into the soil, then spray water properly, and wait for rooting.

1. Select Insert

First of all, choose healthy branches, and let the top have three branches of left and right leaf nodes. When cutting the cuttings, cut them obliquely at a place about 0.4cm away from the last leaf node, and make the incision flat. Then cut off the leaves on the second section below together with the petiole, but leave two small leaves on the top.

2. Handle the insert

After cutting the cuttings, put them in the shade for 2 hours before cutting.

3. Select matrix

Before cutting, we should first prepare the cutting substrate, with fine yellow sand the best, when placed, the bottom of the basin can put some rice grain size sand, to facilitate the flow of water, and then put some thick fine sand on the top of the basin, to facilitate drainage.

4. Cutting

Choose a good cutting time, usually spring in May, autumn in October, and then before cutting, water the substrate, and then dig a hole in it, the depth should reach the height of the lower two sections of the cuttings, then insert the cuttings, and then use tools to compact it.

5. Proper illumination

After cutting, the first half of the month can't let the sun directly shine, and then it can be moved to the half shade and half sun place for maintenance, but can't light for too long, so as to make it grow better

6. Water reasonably

When it is the first time to pour through, usually only need to use a watering can, can not make the soil too wet, so as to improve its survival rate.
