Generally, 2-year-old vines are suitable for cutting from May to June, or from September to October. At this time, semi lignified vines of the same year are selected for cutting during the period from the end of growth to flower bud differentiation. The middle rattan with short internode, big full bud and strong growth is suitable for cutting.
Cut the insert with 2-3 sections. The cut is inclined and smooth. 2-3 leaflets should be reserved at the front of the spike, which is good for promoting root. Before cutting, ABT rooting powder was used for treatment, and then potassium permanganate solution was used for disinfection.
With the method of trenching and burying, the branches are obliquely inserted into the substrate for one-half, and one section is left on the ground. After inserting, the branches are irrigated and permeable.

The temperature in May is generally stable at 20-25 ℃, which is favorable for cutting propagation. When the soil temperature in the seedbed is 3-5 ℃ higher than the temperature, it is more favorable for rooting. The double-layer shading net should be used for shading, and one layer can be removed about 2 weeks after insertion. After about a month, most cuttings have formed callus, should be opened in the morning or evening sunshade, appropriate to the cuttings sun, to promote rooting.
Generally, keep the inserted bed moist and keep 80% - 90% air humidity at the same time, which is conducive to rooting. Spray water mist 1-2 times a day to increase air humidity. When the sprouted root grows to about 2cm, it can increase the water content properly. At the same time, it's better to let the bed soil dry properly for a period of time, and then pour it through water.
When the cuttings grow about 1cm long, liquid fertilizer containing potassium can be sprayed. When most cuttings are 3cm long, liquid fertilizer containing three elements can be poured every half a month or so to promote the growth of leaf buds.
