Penglaisongtong is often propagated by means of plant division and sowing, but seldom by cutting. Among them, the survival rate is very high and it is easy to carry out, and the growth of seedlings is very slow, which is not suitable for domestic use.
1. Ramet: the survival rate of ramet is very high, which is the most commonly used reproduction method of Penglai pine, generally in spring and summer. Take the plant out of the basin and carefully divide the root blocks. Each plant has 3-5 branches. The new plant will be planted in the loose and fertile rotten leaf soil, watered and then placed in the half shade.
2. Sowing: the germination rate of sowing is very high, and the proper maintenance can reach 90%. From September to October, the mature fruits will be picked and stacked for about a week. The seeds were exposed to the sun for another 3-4 days, and then knocked off. Wash the seeds with water and remove the empty seeds in time. Then put it in a cool place, wait for it to dry and then put it away. Take it out when sowing, soak it in cold water for about 3-7 days, and then mix it with hydrated lime to separate the seed coat. Usually after sowing in winter, it will not germinate until April.
