The keel belongs to the succulent plant of Euphorbiaceae, while the Christmas Cactus belongs to the cactus family. They can't be grafted together. However, there is a measuring ruler in cactus family, which is also called keel flower, so the grafted rootstock is actually a measuring ruler. This point must be made clear, or grafting can not survive.
1. Stock treatment: select a robust measuring ruler, the stem should be thicker, which can provide some support. Cut it short properly and keep only about 20-30cm above the basin soil. After that, cut the top flat, along its edge, do not cut to the outside, and hurt its skin.
2. Cuttings: take a full section of Christmas Cactus leaves. Use the sterilized knife to remove the epidermis at the bottom and cut it into wedges, which can make the fitting place more compact.
3. Grafting: insert the bottom of the leaves of Christmas Cactus into the cut of the Rootstock to make the cut fully fit. You can string the two together with a needle to avoid their separation. But to fry a little bit, to avoid affecting its growth.
4. Follow up maintenance: after grafting, put it in a cool place, and do not water it at the same time, so as to prevent the wound from rotting in water. About ten days can heal, and then can be placed in the sun to see the light, waiting for its growth of new leaves.
