The most suitable season for budding is from the middle of May to the middle of June, during which the temperature is just suitable. The rainy season has not officially come, and there will be no water logging, and the survival rate will be relatively high.
The rootstock of budding should be rose with good quality and no pests. Coarseness should not be too fine, at least about 0.5cm, so as to ensure the success rate of subsequent operations.
The scion needs to select the full branches that have flowered, with a length of about 30cm. Cut the leaves, and then peel off the outside prickles. Select buds from the middle part of the branch, observe the tendency of sprouting, and it seems to expand. Cut from the position of 1 cm above the bud, through the xylem in the middle, all the way to the place of 2 cm below the branch bud. Take the petiole in one hand and peel off the wood quickly. Never hurt the bud eye. If you are not in a hurry, wrap it in a wet towel first.
The position of budding should be close to the ground, so that it is not only able to insert the branches and buds, but also convenient to be buried in the soil.
