Cutting time: cutting can be carried out in spring and summer. It is not suitable for cutting when the temperature is high in summer or in winter, but the indoor temperature is low and the growth is slow. Generally, cuttage can be carried out at a temperature between 18 ℃ and 20 ℃.
Cutting soil: it's hard for family cutting to find the soil they like. It's recommended to buy the soil that has been configured and detoxified. Or dig some coarse sand on the mountain and wash it with clear water several times before use. Do not use the soil dug in the saline alkali soil, which is not conducive to the rooting of flowers but will affect the growth of flowers.
Cutting branches: select the branches with strong growth of cold water flower, cut 5-8 cm of stem and leaf at the front end, keep a few leaves at the front end, and directly insert them into the sand bed with vermiculite or plain sand as the substrate, or cut them into the basin soil mixed with peat and soil, with the depth not more than 2 cm. Put it in the half shade, keep the soil temperature at 18-20 ℃, spray water with a watering can when it is dry, it can take root in about 2-3 weeks, and it can be transplanted or potted in 1-2 months.
Cold water flower has a strong clumping nature. It can be taken out of the basin by turning over the basin and changing soil. It can be divided into several clumps. At the same time, the old stem can be cut short, and 2-3 nodes of the stem part can be reserved and planted in different basins. New shoots will sprout soon after survival!
