The cutting of Daphne odora can be carried out in spring, summer and autumn.
The suitable cutting time of Daphne odora in spring is from the late February to the late March. Select the annual robust branches with a length of about 10 cm. Remove the lower leaves of the branches, while retaining 2-3 leaves, and then insert them into the seedbed. For cutting propagation in summer and autumn, firstly cut the branches with good growth in that year, and the base of the cuttings should have internodes, so it is easier to root. Insert the cuttings into the sand basin of the river, the depth is about 2 /3. After the cuttings, shade them properly and keep them moist reasonably. Wait about 45-60 days, and they will take root.
The suitable time for high pressure propagation of Daphne odora is generally from March to April. Select 1-2-year-old robust Daphne twigs, which need to be peeled in a ring shape, with a width of about 1-2cm. After the cut is wrapped with plastic cloth, fill in the soil, tighten the lower end of the plastic cloth, while tightening the upper end, pay attention to leave a small hole for ventilation and irrigation, and keep the soil moist. It will take more than 2 months to take root. After autumn, it needs to be cut away from the mother body for potting or planting.
