1. Preparation of substrate: Prepare the bottom sand or coarse river sand for the fish tank, pour the bottom sand into the foam box, add clean water to wash it clean repeatedly, and then pour in the diluted potassium permanganate solution (add water to dilute it into light purple, as shown in the figure), and the water volume shall not exceed 1cm of the bottom sand.

4. Maintenance after cutting: After the cutting is finished, put the foam box at the temperature of about 25 . After the water in the foam box dries up, it will take root in about 2 weeks. If the maintenance temperature is low, the rooting will be slower. Remember to replenish water after the water dries up.
5. Transplanting: When the root system grows to 2cm, pull out the cuttings from the bottom sand and transplant them to the potting soil. Irrigate them thoroughly and put them in a slow pot with light scattering and ventilation. When the plants have obvious growth trend, gradually increase the light, and then gradually replace the big pot with the growth of the plants.
The hydroponic rooting of Catharanthus roseus is very simple. It only needs to cut the branches of the plant into cuttings with a length of 5-10 cm, insert the cuttings into water, and change the clear water every two days until the roots of Catharanthus roseus come out.
