The planting of Freesia is usually carried out in spring or autumn. There are two ways to plant freesia. One is the sowing method, which is suggested to be carried out in May and June; the other is the ball dividing method, which is suggested to be carried out in August and September. It should be noted that never in the hot summer and cold winter, will hinder the normal growth of the plant.
However, the planting time is not certain, and it should be changed according to the local conditions. If the climate is relatively warm, it can be postponed properly; if the region is relatively cold, it is necessary to choose a warmer time.
1. Sowing method: generally, the seeds are collected in May, and then seeded in a lighter flowerpot, placed in a place where there is no direct wind and kept a certain humidity. The most favorable temperature for germination is about 20-22 ℃, and the temperature cannot be too low.
2. Ball dividing method: when the plant is dormant, peel off the new bulbs, refrigerate them, and then plant them. If the new bulbs are bigger, they will bloom in the same year after planting. If they are smaller, they need to be cultured for about a year to bloom.
