It grows crazily and is taller than people.
When the plant is still young, it should start to control the water. Only 80% of the normal water amount is poured every day, which can inhibit the growth momentum of the stem. However, in the growing season, especially at noon, the water evaporation is large, and the water should be often sprayed on the leaves, so that the plants can become short and strong if they persist in flowering.
If water control is not successful, it can be assisted by chemicals. There are growth retardants on the market, which can inhibit plant growth. In the peak season of poinsettia, spray once every 10-15 days until flowering, and do not spray when flowering. Continue to use next spring, know that the plant is basically shaped.
This is the simplest way of dwarfing. Generally, the top branches and leaves about 10 cm from the ground can be cut off once from June to July, leaving 3-4 nodes at the base. After the beginning of autumn in the first ten days of August, the second heart lifting can be carried out, preferably two weeks after the beginning of autumn. This time, 2-3 nodes of lateral branches were preserved, which could promote the differentiation of flower branches.
The second picking is just at the time of flowering, only a few leaves can grow after picking, and flower buds can be formed at the top of the branch, thus inhibiting the height of the plant. Therefore, the earlier the second picking, the longer the flower branch, otherwise, the shorter the flower branch.
