The leaves of water tower flower are as long and narrow as sword, green and shiny. In winter, the fresh red columnar inflorescence is drawn out from the tender green leaf tube, about 30 cm high, with many small flowers growing on the top, three petals, light yellow green, and blue edge. After opening, the flowers turn outward. In full bloom, a string of blue-green flowers, set off by red bracts, are extremely gorgeous and dazzling. The viewing period can be as long as two months.
Jifeng pear, also known as small pineapple, is most suitable for potted viewing. The leaves are hard and slender, with wavy edge, milky yellow, red or purple red color, and the longitudinal stripes on the leaves radiate like crabs, white or light green, which are born in the leaf clusters and form a disc.

The leaves of the pineapple in Phnom Penh are sword shaped, curled outward, crisp and glossy. When flowering, each flower is yellow, red and purple from bottom to top, which is very resistant to viewing.
Caibao pineapple, also known as torch, is a hybrid. Blade margin smooth and without serrations. From the center of the flower stem out of the upright, as long as 35 - 40 cm. The flower bud is dark red, thick and glossy. The whole inflorescence is like a flaming torch. The flowering period can be up to three months. It is also a favorite among the pineapples.
