Silverstar often blooms in spring, when flowering, the leaf disk extends upward and draws out the inflorescence.
The flower of silver star has 5 petals. The color of petals is pink. Some of them are white, not all red, very beautiful. Generally, the silver star does not harvest seeds after flowering and needs cross pollination.
There is a saying that when silver stars bloom, their leaves will gradually wither and die. However, it has been confirmed that Silverstar will not die after flowering and can grow healthily.
Therefore, it can be assumed that Silverstar will not die after flowering, just because it consumes a lot of self nutrition when flowering, and the backward and regrowth of flower means that the nutrient can not keep up, leading to plant decline and wither.
It is also said that the appearance of silver star will be affected after flowering.
When Silverstar blooms, the scape is drawn from the center of rosette shaped leaf disc. In order to protect the leaf disc and prevent its shape from being damaged, when the moss is drawn, it should be cut off in time to maintain the normal growth of the leaf disc.
