Ponding refers to improper application of water without considering the influence of plant growth, soil quality, flowerpot, weather and other factors during flower cultivation, such as multiple watering or excessive single watering, which makes the soil contain a lot of water, and there is no normal discharge of water under the flowerpot, so the water will exist in it. Water accumulation in flower culture has serious consequences. It will weaken the respiration and even make it difficult for the roots to breathe normally. If the roots are suffocated for a long time, the roots will rot and the whole transportation function will be affected. Finally, the growth of the whole plant will have problems. First, there are yellow leaves and fallen leaves, and later, if it is serious, it will lead to death.
1. Soil quality: when cultivating flowers, try to choose loose soil to ensure drainage. If you accidentally pour too much water, you can still discharge it. In addition to the choice of soil, ceramsite, foam board fragments, granular stone and so on can be placed on the bottom of the flower pot.
2. Loosen soil: when it is found that there is water in it, loosen the soil properly to promote the normal discharge of water.
3. Ventilation: put the flowerpot in a place with sunshine and ventilation to speed up the evaporation of water.
