Metamorphic rocks refer to those formed by metamorphism due to the force of the earth's interior. It has many kinds, among which slate, schist, phyllite, marble, quartzite and so on are more common. In addition to them, there are some less common, such as gneiss, mylonite, andalusite hornstone, skarn and so on
1. Slate: it is a kind of argillaceous or silty rock formed by metamorphism. Along the direction of the pattern, it can be easily cut. It has many advantages such as durable, antiskid, etc.
2. Schist: it is a kind of metamorphic rock with coarser grain size, which is composed of some fiber minerals arranged in parallel. It's lighter and less intense. It is also very easy to be weathered, or frozen.
3. Marble: it is a kind of rock with carbonate composition, which has been transformed after metamorphism. It has beautiful stripes, hardness is also very good, suitable for architectural decoration. However, it is not resistant to strong acid corrosion.
4. Quartzite: it is quartz and some other siliceous rocks formed after metamorphism. Its hardness is very high, not easy to like water, and has beautiful lines, is an important raw material for metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries.
